Beyond Price Charts: Unlocking the Power of Blockchain Data

For most traders, the foundation of their strategies lies in price charts. By analyzing past and current price movements, they attempt to spot patterns that could predict future trends. More advanced traders supplement this with liquidity analysis, order books, and trade histories across multiple assets—traditional tools used in technical analysis.

At the same time, the world of cryptocurrency provides an additional layer of insights not available in traditional finance—blockchain data. Blockchain, being fully transparent and publicly accessible, offers a deep dive into the behavior of market participants. When properly analyzed, blockchain data can provide powerful clues about the intentions and movements of significant players like whales and large institutions.

For example, by tracking large transactions, such as those exceeding $1 million or $10 million, traders can observe patterns in the behavior of whales. Did these large players move significant amounts of Bitcoin before a major market movement? Were there substantial deposits into exchanges just before a price crash? Identifying these patterns can provide valuable insights, allowing traders to anticipate future market shifts based on similar blockchain activity.

However, it takes more than just raw data to make these conclusions. Blockchain transactions need to be parsed, categorized, and analyzed. That's where BTCparser comes in.

At BTCparser, we transform raw blockchain data into actionable insights by tracking and analyzing large-scale transactions across multiple blockchains. We provide traders and institutions with a deeper layer of understanding beyond price charts, helping them detect trends, anticipate market moves, and refine their trading strategies.

By leveraging the transparency of blockchain, we enable our users to gain valuable insights into the behavior of different types of market participants, from whales and institutions to smaller traders.

In 2018, we introduced the BTCparser suite—three powerful blockchain parsing robots. Since then, these parsers have continuously operated, gaining recognition in reputable media for detecting early anomalies in the blockchain and uncovering the awakening of long-dormant Bitcoin wallets. With their unique capabilities, BTCparser provides timely and invaluable intel on blockchain activity, particularly from large holders, empowering skilled analysts and traders to capitalize on these insights and earn millions.

BTCparser1

[Live Web version][Telegram channel][User Guide]

BTCparser1 was created exclusively for the purpose of monitoring the activity of so-called sleeping Bitcoin addresses (also referred as wallets). It constantly monitors blockchain for any activity related to 64529 addresses:
21519 - created in 2009
12396 - created in 2010
3598 - created in 2011
2193 - created in 2012
5214 - created in 2013
3902 - created in 2014
3231 - created in 2015
5281 - created in 2016
5043 - created in 2017 till July
80 - Mt.Gox (bonus 1)
2072 - Bitfinex Hack (bonus 2)
All of these wallets haven't made any outgoing transactions ever since the moment of their creation and contain more than 10BTC! As soon as any transaction involving one of these wallets takes place, the bot immediately sends out a message with corresponding details.

Advantages of BTCparser1:
1. Fully automated tracking of more than 64529 Bitcoin wallets
2. Fast access to data. The bot checks these wallets on every block. As soon as the balance changes, BTCparser1 sends a corresponding message.
3. This information is provided immediately and the user doesn't have to use the block explorer.

BTCparser2

[Live Web version][Telegram channel][User Guide]

BTCparser2 is used to analyze each and every new block by getting detailed information about all transactions within it. After that, the bot separately calculates all outgoing and incoming transactions for every unique address. Later, BTCparser2 sends out a message including information for all wallets that has sent or received more than 200 BTC. If there are no such wallets, BTCparser2 will just send the number of the processed block, the date and time of processing, the total number of transactions, and the total number of unique wallets mentioned within this block.

Advantages BTCparser2:
1. Timely access to the information. The user will always know the date and time of the block creation and will be aware of any big transactions made within the block
2. BTCparser2 calculates the sum for every unique address. If the wallet was used to receive more than 200 BTC in several transactions within the block, BTCparser2 will show this information
3. For wallets sending/receiving a total of more than 200 BTC, the bot will show not only the address of the wallet, but the number of incoming and outgoing transactions within the block. Thus the user will be able to get access to the summary without opening the block explorer

BTCparser3

[Live Web version][Telegram channel][User Guide]

This is an extremely powerful analytical bot! It consolidates groups of 100 consecutive blocks and identifies all wallets that sent or received a total exceeding 1000 bitcoins during that time. If some address sent 150 BTC every 10 blocks, BTCparser3 will catch this activity! And since the transferred total per this single address exceeds 1000 Bitcoins (150*10 = 1500 BTC > 1000 BTC) the address will be mentioned in the provided report.
Additionally, this parser prepares a statistical overview of each consolidation. It classifies each address by behavior (only receiver, only sender, transit, or normal) calculating the turnover of Bitcoins and the number of transactions for each class. Later this statistical data is used to plot charts that help to better visualize the blockchain activity. This is the only public parser that performs this type of analysis providing a bird-view on the whole blockchain activity. Identifying all major players, classifying transaction types, and revealing what was intended to be hidden.

Advantages of BTCparser3:
1. Information consolidation. Unlike many other bots, BTCparser3 analyzes 100 blocks at once, without processing them one by one. This approach tracks the activity of wallets on a longer basis, which is invisible to majority of other parsers.
2. General statistics prepared by that parser allows understanding of the overall state of blockchain and actions of big holders (whales).
3. Tags for known addresses (e.g. 'hot wallets' of biggest exchanges).
